Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the age of 14. Aspen Laddd started training in BJJ, kickboxing boxing, and wrestling prior to her professional debut at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd continued to build on her win in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She dominated all her opponents within the first round. In the following weeks Ladd went on to WCFC once more and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and beat her in a the unanimous decision, which put a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from the defeat and beat Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to make her record 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta 11 saw her take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta 16 saw her move to the weight class of Bantamweight following her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's formidable wrestling ability took down McGill as she was able to end her fight in the third round via TKO (elbows and strikes). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 in the catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd had missed weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. She finished her with a TKO after the second round. Her final fight with Promotion, she defeated Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and ground-and-pounded her to score a second-round TKO victory. In her second fight, she beat Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd took on Evinger with a punch during the first round. She also got a Performance of The Night prize. She fought her first big fight in the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd's victory was a unanimous victory, and she was awarded the Fight of the Night award came to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, which was enough to end her win streak. in the 3rd round on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her recent fight for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. The UFC Fight Night 195 fight was decided unanimously against her.
